Some sitting on their rocking chairs,
Some swinging on the porch.
Others gazing out their windows
Or laying in the Sun, hoping they don't scorch.
All these people see what I see.
They are looking at a world so open and so free.
They smell the air so natural and fresh,
And see their lawns vibrantly green.
This is a beautiful Summer's day.
The sun's rays are rejuvenating.
The birds all chirp and they all sing.
Dogs and cats play in the long, long grass.
We remember only the beauties of the past.
Swinging on the swing,
The swaying of the trees,
Breathing in the fresh air,
The Sun's rays warm my cheeks.
Smelling earthly flowers,
I love communication arts,
I love photography, drawing, and writing poems from my heart.
I love being one with nature,
And learning from all the organisms, each and every creature.
I love being with my friends,
And the peacefulness of remaining alone.
I love listening to my music,
My singing others hope isn't shown.
I love doing all this good,
Showing people that I care.
I love being completely positive;
My happiness, thoughts, and ideals I love to share.
I love philosophy, logic, and what not.
I also love religion, individuality, and thought.
I love mystery, being scared, I love surprise,
I love enigmas, things to analyze.
I
I'm an optimist on the outside,
A pessimist on the inside.
I show everyone a smile;
My sadness I try to hide.
My stomach aches,
My heart may break,
I may hurt, I may fall through,
But I will always tell you to just be you.
Be happy with yourself,
Show them all a glowing face,
And not the tears, nor the fears,
The burning of your heart you must leave without a trace.
The burden held within,
The hurt that makes you cringe. Hide it.
Hide the sorrows of your kind,
The twisted of your mind.
Your anger settling deep,
And the suffering you want to reap. Hide it.
They'll think you're crazy. They'll call you mad.
You, the only sane
The twisting and turning
The howl of the wind,
The screams and the cries,
Is this because we have sinned?
The shaking of Earth
And ground opening from Hell.
Their home is a danger.
Is this for lives in a shell?
Wishing and washing the people away
Of which we have before lent a hand.
The rivers are disastrous.
Does anybody now have anything to lend?
The Earth we destroy, make it wither away.
This is our fault, nothing else we can blame.
Climates are changing, how drastic it is.
Even worse, there is world poverty for shame.
Poor, feeble people stricken by the harsh waves,
The people of Haiti have nothing at all.
Will it happen
Lurking in the shadows is something frightening still.
It follows me, is attached to me, and is creeping up the hill,
The hill to my future laying brightly in the temple on the top,
On the top of my lifelong journey I hope to someday meet,
To meet the goal I so desperately want and need.
Lurking in the shadows is something terrifying to thee.
It is not as you see, what's lurking in the shadow is me;
A part of me, one that is not bad.
It's what I don't embrace. It's what I've always had.
It's the part of me that will help me to the top;
The part I can't explain, the part that will not stop.
It will live on in me, is a part of me.

I Am Earth, Now Hear Me Yell
People, people, don't you see?
You kill the world. You're killing me.
I am Earth, now hear me yell.
I hate what you do, you're living in a shell.
You pollute your world that you and others share,
Other people, other species, others that may care.
You make me filthy, you do not share.
You strip me clean, your selfishness I can't bare.
I could cry and cry and you wouldn't even blink,
You hate, you fight, you push me to the brink.
You bomb each other thinking that it's just.
What do you accomplish, why is it that you must?
You do not help, you do not think,
You make me sick, why won't you sink
deep into the ground and leave us all
Flying high and flying low,
That is how my emotions go.
My mood is up and then it's down.
I sink my feelings deep to drown,
Or show them with enthusiasm-
Depending on how I'm sound.
No-one gets me, they never will.
They don't understand my life of Hell.
But it's okay, it always is
I know myself and that's all I need
I belong with God- He is mine and I am his.
Flying high and flying low,
That is how my emotions go.
Inspiration, enthusiasm, happiness and thrill,
Then all of a sudden it is all
Depression, hopelessness, and still...
I know it will be alright in the end,
Things will happen as God intends;
This pushes back my nega
As the day goes by time gets slower.
All the colors of dusk take over.
The Sun sinks down as if in quicksand
And seems to go right into another land.
You may think that night has no sense,
But it can be full of light... illuminesence.
The stars twinkle by
Like they are saying "Hi",
And the moon races from one point to the other,
Replacing the Sun who has taken cover.
The porch light is on, attracting the moths;
Fireflies blinking, in the sky and on moss.
Light is glistening from the metal of barns
And filling the dew-covered lawn with brightness and charm.
Within a blink of an eye all of this is over, the beauty of night light i
